FIXED CULT PRESENTS: TALKATIVE TUESDAYS !!!!

INTERVIEW WITH THUNDER KILL's CHARLES SCHOEN

WHAT IS YOUR NAME AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN RIDING FIXED GEARS ?
Charles Schoen, I have been riding fixed for a little bit over 2 years.
bikes forever

WHAT DREW YOU INTO RIDING FIXED ?
I took a trip to SF in the summer of in '07 and saw all these kids riding bikes brakeless down these sketchy ass hills... Looked like allot of fun! haha

THAT'S RAD HAHA . . SO WHEN DID YOU START GETTING INTO THE WHOLE FGFS WORLD ?
Hahaha... I still remember the day. I somehow stumbled across Trick Track after seeing the Fast Friday trailer, and saw some videos of i wanna say Mosher, and was instantly hooked! i went into my garage, chopped my bars short enough to throw bars 11" hahahaha, then went out and rode. It was like 20 degrees out

NICE MAN . . SO WHEN DID YOU START THUNDER KILL ?
It all actually started around the same time i started tricking. It originally was just this one shirt me and a friend printed that said thunderKILL 9000, kind of just messing around. It then was something in the back of my head for around a year. I knew it had something special in the name.
So around mid April of this year I brought it back from the dead, printed out a bunch of shirts, and it has been going great!

VERY COOL MAN , YOU'RE PUTTING OUT SOME RAD STUFF FOR SURE ! . . SO WHATS IN THE WORKS FOR TK ?
Thanks TJ!
Oh man, allot. In the next week or so we plan on releasing allot of pictures and information about the Fall/Winter Collection. We have been working on all the new products for a while now, and are really pumped to show all the fans whats up.
Allot more then t shirts will be coming out!

NO WORRIES DUDE ! AND SOUNDS COOL MY FRIEND . . SO TELL ME ABOUT THE RIDING SCENE UP IN YOUR PART OF THE WORLD
What riding scene?! Haha, man... I really wish there was one. I have a few good friends that ride around, but it seems that the FGFS bug hasn't hit Cleveland yet. So I am usually riding solo.
But I am planning a trip to LA/LB asap to ride.

THAT WOULD BE PRETTY AWESOME IF YOU GOT UP HERE DUDE ! . . SO YOUR A YOUNGER DUDE AND ALOT OF THE THUNDER KILL STUFF LIKE THE ALISTER CROWLEY SHIRT FOR INSTANCE TRIP ME OUT CAUSE MOST DUDES YOUR AGE HAVE NO REAL CLUE ABOUT THAT KIND OF STUFF THEY JUST REP IT FOR THE TREND . . WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR IDEAS FROM ?
I think ever since I can remember I've been into counter-history, the stuff they don't like to talk about in school. I remember reading for hours about the Jonestown Cult back when I was probably like 12.
I have gotten really into reading online. I have been really interested in Crowley for a while now. I think I was always interested in the Ozzy song, and hearing the Beatles, and Zeppelin make references to him. I get my inspiration from reading, and music for sure.

THAT IS WHY I RESPECT YOU AND FULLY BACK WHAT YOUR DOING MAN ! SO WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES IN YOU RIDING AND WHAT YOU DO ?
My biggest influences are the riders that are going against the grid. To name a few, definitely Antonyo Wothe, Torey, Matt Spencer, Nasty, and Mike Schmitt. That's just to name a few. My older brother, who is not part of thunderKILL has been a big influence, along with my family and friends.

VERY COOL . . SO WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SANDWICH ? AND WHAT ELSE ARE YOU INTO BESIDES FIXED/THUNDERKILL ?
Favorite sandwich has gotta be ham and cheese on a steamed bagel (sounds so good right now). I recently got back into road biking, that's been fun. I really enjoy traveling, and doing things with my buddies and girlfriend Kassie. Other then that, bikes and thunderKILL.

I'M A TURKEY AND PROV ALONE ON A PLAIN BAGEL MAN MYSELF HAHA . . SO THAT ABOUT WRAPS IT UP BUDDY . . ANY SHOUT OUTS /THANK YOUS YOU WANNA THROW OUT ?
Yeah for sure. First of all, the thunderKILL team. Drew, Shea, Matt Spencer, Matt Reyes, Mike, Sean, and Corey. Also; my brother Andrew (welcome to thunderKILL), my family, Kassie, the Grime, and everyone who is into what we are doing!
oh yeah and this crazy mother fucker who got a TK tat!
thanks TJ!
